A proactive Bassetlaw focus for health and social care

Supported Housing

Bassetlaw District Council Housing Department works in partnership with numerous organisations to ensure high quality, safe, warm and affordable accommodation is available to our community.

The availability of such accommodation is of particular importance to those with special needs, many of whom will have restricted income and otherwise have difficulties in finding and affording suitable housing.  Good housing often helps in ensuring good health.

Schemes recently delivered by our partners with the support of the district council include:

Cobwell Road Homelessness Project, Retford     (Nottingham Community Housing Association)

Potter Street Homelessness Project, Worksop (Framework Housing Association)

Group living scheme for people with learning disabilities, Worksop (Eden Housing Limited)

Schemes currently being developed include:

Supported Housing for Teenage Mothers      (Hallam Housing Society/New Roots Housing Project)

Floating support projects for vulnerable people  (Various providers)

If you require further information about any of the above, or feel you can contribute in any way to the development of Housing Services in Bassetlaw, please contact Graham Jackson, the council’s Senior Housing Manager dealing with Housing Strategy
